# PreIPOKart

> PreIPOKart is an Indian marketplace where people buy and sell shares in private companies before those companies list on a stock exchange.

PreIPOKart is not a recognised stock exchange, listed-market broker, or guaranteed counterparty. Prices on the home page and company pages are last-traded or indicative, not NSE or BSE quotes. An investor browses companies, places a buy or sell request at a stated price and quantity, and funds are held until the deal settles.

If a page does not exist, or a company, blog post, or policy cannot be found, the site sends the visitor to the companies list at https://preipokart.in/explore.
